‘Another Simple Favor’ premiered amidst much drama and tension at the SXSW in Texas on Friday.
Blake Lively put on a stylish pink dress as she hit the red carpet solo and joined the team of her upcoming movie, including co-star, Ana Kendrick. However, ahead of the film’s screening, fans and reporters could feel the tension in the air as Kendrick appeared to snub her co-star Lively while interacting with fans and signing autographs.
In a viral video from the event, a fan was seen video recording Ana and asking her, “What does it mean to be working with Blake again?” On seeing the camera, Ana simply walked past, without offering a comment.
When quizzed further by Variety about promoting the film amidst the drama surrounding Lively’s legal drama with her ‘It Ends With Us‘ director Justin Baldoni and ‘all that is going on’. Ana replied repeating Ryan Reynolds‘ SNL joke saying, “Why? What happened?”
“I heard the movie is really good,” she said before taking a step back and moving on.
The situation at the premiere only seemed to escalate when a supporter of actor-director Justin Baldoni showed up at the event holding a sign that read “Justice for Justin Baldoni Blake Lied.” The individual’s presence at the event grabbed eyeballs and made headlines around the globe. Reacting to the buzz, the girl said in a tweet, “I was the only Justice For Justin protester out here at Another Simple Favor and yes I got footage of Blake Lively and some great crowd interviews.”
Meanwhile, the A Simple Favor sequel has been generating buzz for its storyline and new cast members. The film will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on May 1, 2025
