Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, recently made his debut with the Karan Johar-backed Naadaniyan. The young actor is receiving praise for his looks, physique, and screen presence. With multiple films lined up, including one alongside Kajol and Prithviraj and another with South sensation Sreeleela, Ibrahim is already making waves in the industry.
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, his trainer, Robin Behl, opened up about how the actor got in shape for his debut. He said, *“He’s in better shape than me—or than I’ve ever been. When I started training him, he wasn’t in top shape. He has always been an athletic guy—he plays football and cricket. He’s got good genes, and he’s sharp. At his age, he had a big opportunity, and the good thing was that he was aware of it. To set things straight, I used to call him at 7 AM. For a guy who wasn’t used to waking up early—I don’t even know what time he used to wake up before—he hated me for it. He’d walk into the studio, pissed off at me. But at that point, I didn’t need to be his friend; I just needed him to show up. If he showed up, I won. And he showed up for a month straight at 7 AM. He cursed me every day, but he was there—which was beautiful for me.”*
Robin also revealed that Ibrahim would send him pictures and messages at midnight, asking if he could eat certain foods, but he never cheated on his diet. He added, “It’s not just about that one hour in the gym—you can absolutely kill it in that one hour. But what you do in the remaining 23 hours of the day is what really counts.”
